PTFE (Teflon) gaskets
PTFE flange gaskets, ring gaskets and full-face gaskets in virgin and glass-filled PTFE, cut to drawing. Made by Habib Brothers in Mumbai, OD 5–200 mm, to your drawing.
Materials
- PTFE (Teflon)
- Glass-Filled PTFE
Used for
- Flange gaskets for acids, alkalis and solvents in chemical and pharma plants
- Ring and full-face gaskets for food, dairy and process lines
- Gaskets for hot media where rubber would swell or age
Choosing the grade
Virgin PTFE is the cleanest and most chemically inert choice; it can creep (cold-flow) under high bolt load over time.
Glass-filled PTFE resists creep and holds bolt load better, so it suits higher pressures and larger flanges.
Tell us the medium, temperature, pressure and flange standard (for example ASME B16.21 or EN 1514-1 dimensions) and we cut to that size.
Questions
Virgin or glass-filled PTFE for a flange gasket?
Virgin PTFE for purity and the widest chemical resistance; glass-filled PTFE when creep under bolt load is the concern, such as higher pressure or larger flanges.
Can you cut PTFE gaskets to a flange standard?
Yes. Send the flange size and rating, or the drawing, and we cut ring or full-face gaskets to those dimensions.
